Maddie Pothoff, a Tucson resident, is the top ranked tennis player in the Southwest and is ranked ninth in the Nation in the 12 and under singles rankings. She is also ranked in the older 14 division. Maddie is a home schooled 7th grader who trains at the Smith-Perry Tennis Academy at the Reffkin Tennis Center in Tucson. Also in the tops in the Southwest is Zaina Sufi of Cataline Foothills in the 16 division and Harsh Hemang Parikh from Tucson in the 10 boys division.
