Ms. Kraus received a USTA Grassroots Wheelchair Tennis Grant of $1200.00 from National to support a new initiative that seeks to introduce people to wheelchair tennis.

 

We, USTA SAZ WheelChair Committee, will have a new player event during the Southwest Desert Classic on February 11, 2012 that will offer clinics and drills for brand new players. All equipment and coaching will be provided. Participants will be able to watch tournament play and will be hosted at the tournament dinner.

 

Ms. Kraus is the 2011 USTA SAZ Wheelchair Committee Chair and newly elected to the 2012-2013 USTA SAZ Board of Directors. She works at the University of Arizona Disability Resource Center and has a PHD in Higher Education from the University of Arizona
